For recently announced vehicles, manufacturers have not always published complete specifications. Where a figure is not yet available, we either omit it or publish a preliminary value.

Manufacturers may update specifications, availability, and trim configurations at any time. Figures reflect what was published at the time of collection.

Pricing reflects the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price or base price as disclosed by the manufacturer.

Where a vehicle has been announced but pricing has not yet been published, we may show a preliminary price derived from a manufacturer's announced starting price, a prior model year, or a comparable trim. Preliminary pricing is replaced with published pricing as it becomes available.

Prices shown are for reference only. They do not include taxes, fees, freight, delivery, or dealer charges, and they do not represent an offer of sale. Final pricing is set by the seller.

Efficiency and range figures are primarily sourced from Natural Resources Canada.

Where Natural Resources Canada has not yet published a vehicle, we use manufacturer published figures.

For recently announced vehicles, official figures are sometimes unavailable from either source. In these cases we publish a preliminary figure, derived from comparable trims, prior model years, or published battery and efficiency data. Preliminary figures are replaced with sourced data as it becomes available.

Calculator results are modelled, not measured. We combine published vehicle figures with the inputs you provide, such as driving style, season, province, or charging setup, to estimate a likely outcome.

Our models draw on authoritative and publicly available sources, including:

Incentive information is sourced from official government, utility, and program administrator sources. Eligibility requirements, funding availability, and program rules may change over time and should be confirmed with the applicable program administrator.

To show what an electric vehicle could save you, we pair it with a comparable gasoline vehicle. Where possible, the match is based on a similar body style and segment, a comparable drivetrain, and a related price range, so the comparison reflects two vehicles a buyer would consider against each other. The estimated savings reflect the difference in running costs between the electric vehicle and its gas counterpart.

These savings are modelled estimates intended for comparison. They are not a quote, an offer, or a guarantee of what you will spend.

Electricity: Estimated charging costs are based on publicly available electricity pricing. Home charging estimates use residential electricity rates published by regional utility providers. Public charging estimates use an average price across major charge point operators, applied as a national average. These values are reviewed and updated as pricing changes.

Gasoline: Comparison prices are applied as a provincial average. Pump prices vary by station, by city, and by day, so the price at any given station may differ from the average used here.

Preliminary figures are published only where no official figure exists yet. They are our best available reading of the evidence, not a manufacturer claim, and they are replaced as official data is published.

Modelled results are calculator outputs. They are intended to support comparison and planning, not to predict the exact performance or cost of a specific vehicle.
